Matthew Sweet is performing the "Girlfriend" album in it's entirety at Yoshi's next week on Tuesday & Wednesday.  I can't believe it's been 20 years since that album came out... man I'm old!!!  Anyone interested in going with me?  I could go either night.

I can't believe it's already getting close to Noise Pop time again!  Anyhow, I'm definitely going to see the Dodos.  I saw them open for the New Pornographers a year or so ago and I thought they were fantastic, and have been wanting to see them again ever since.  Let me know if you want to join me!

Saw these guys back in March and they were fantastic.  Tried to see them at Hardly Strictly but they were so popular I couldn't get close enough see them.  Tix go on sale on Sunday, although the show is a long way off so probably won't sell out right away.  Let me know if you want to join me!

Phantogram @ The Fillmore - Weds 11/2

I have seen this duo open a couple of times and just loved them (and I don't usually care for opening acts), so I'm excited to see them headline at the Fillmore.  I heard that they were very popular at Outside Lands last month.  I've already got tix, but let me know if you want to go and we can meet up, maybe grab a bite to eat first.

The Head and The Heart @ The Independent - Sat 10/15

I saw The Head and The Heart open for Iron & Wine and they were terrific! I can't wait to see them play again... so excited they are playing down the street at The Independent. Let me know if you want to go with me. Tix go on sale Friday.

English Beat @ Stern Grove - Sun, 7/17

One of my all time faves The English Beat is playing Stern Grove this Sunday. Show starts at 2, but I will be going earlier to get a good spot. You usually have to come early too to get in because they stop letting people in if it's too full.

I'm a bit concerned about the weather, but the show should be great! Let me know if you're coming.

Best Coast @ Academy of Sciences - Thurs 8/11

The California Academy of Sciences has a great adult evening event called "Nightlife" every Thursday night. On August 11th they're going to have 2 bands from Outside Lands playing. I just heard that one of them is going to be Best Coast, who I saw at Noise Pop earlier this year and they are fantastic. I'm sure that these tix will sell out, so let me know soon if you want to go!

Cibo Matto @ Bimbos - Saturday, June 25th

OMG I'm so excited that Cibo Matto are going to be playing at Bimbo's in June. I didn't even realize they were still together (looks like they've just reunited). I remember Viva! La Woman totally blowing my mind when I first heard it... hell, it still blows my mind!

I heard these guys on NPR a while ago and have wanted to see them ever since. Their sound reminds me of the soundtrack for "Oh Brother, Where Art Thou?" I just saw that they're playing next Friday at the Great American Music Hall (my favorite place). Anyone interested in joining me?
